Dealing with mental illness is super difficult as the cause is typically an event or number of events in your past which were so painful that the need to alleviate your symptoms often leads to the use of drugs/alcohol. In turn, these drugs loosen your moral code, lower the barriers for what was so ingrained in your morally. In turn this turns to internal conflict which is the calm before the storm. As you consider these delicacies; your unconscious self, void of barriers, starts its barbaric run away from all you knew. This can lead to sexual destruction, adultery, fantasy, chronic masturbation. The one thing you can rely on to further deny that original pain.
