Please allow a few extra days for your order to be delivered (especially during busy times)! My carriers are always doing their best to get your order to you, so make sure you keep an eye on your tracking link for the latest updates.

If your order doesn’t arrive, please let me know and I’ll do my best to help you.

Just one more thing…

I aim to meet delivery times, but during busy periods, deliveries may take a little longer. Occasionally, tech updates to my systems or force majeure events, such as extreme weather conditions, may affect delivery services for a limited time, resulting in changes to delivery times. However, I will always work hard to keep these temporary changes to a minimum. Deano Hewitts cannot be held liable for any parcels that are lost or stolen as a result of any specific delivery instructions left for the carrier.

My order says it’s been delivered but I’ve not received it.

In the first instance, I would ask that you please check with any neighbours or in any safe places where your order may have been left.

If you’re still unable to locate your order and you haven’t received a ‘Sorry I missed you’ card, please do get in touch via deano@deanohewitts.com.

I don’t currently offer a ‘Pay Monthly’ option however if this is something you would be interested in using should it be available, please get in touch as I am always looking to improve the service offered.

How do I place an order?

Placing an order couldn't be easier, simply follow these steps.

1. Click 'Add to basket' to place the item you want to buy in your bag.

2. Once you have finished shopping, click on the trolley icon to view the items in your bag and to pay. This will appear on the top right-hand side of the screen for desktop. If you're happy with the items in your basket, click 'Checkout'.

3. Review and confirm the items in your order.

4. Confirm your delivery address and delivery method.

5. Confirm your payment method and 'Place Order'. To better protect customers when making online payments by card you may be presented with 3D secure security measures when paying. This is dependent on your bank issuer and may require you to enter a password or get a security code via email or phone.

An email confirmation will be sent to your registered email address to let you know your order details. It's worth checking your junk mail as my emails may be routed there automatically.

How do I pay using Apple Pay?

I accept Apple Pay as a payment method for selected countries on my website. If Apple Pay is available in your country, you will see this payment option at checkout. You can pay with Apple Pay using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.

Add the items to your cart and go to the checkout as normal. If your device is supported by Apple Pay, this option will default as the payment method at checkout.

How do I pay using Google Pay?

Good news! I now accept Google Pay as a payment method for selected countries for Android app users. You can pay with Google Pay using a Visa, MasterCard and American Express card. Your payment cards will be stored on the Android store app.

Please follow the below steps:

1. Add the items to your bag and if your device is supported by Google Pay, you'll be able to see the “Google Pay” button in your cart underneath the “Checkout” button.

2. Once you select the Google Pay button, you’ll go to the Google Pay checkout.

3. This will open Google “Pay Sheet” which will allow you to select a payment card from your Google Wallet.

4. Once you select a card and place your order, you'll see your order details, including:

  • The card you have linked to your Google Pay or Apple Pay
  • Your billing and shipping address
  • Your delivery method e.g. Standard or Express
  • Your contact email address
  • If any promo codes have been applied to your order
  • Your order value, including any delivery charge

When you've placed your order successfully, you'll be sent an order confirmation email.

How can I pay for my order?

You can use any of the payment types listed below to pay for your order. I take your security very seriously, therefore your details are safe with me.

I also take fraud very seriously too, so all credit and debit card holders are subject to validation and authorisation by both me and the card issuer. To better protect customers when making online payments you may be presented with 3D secure security measures when paying. This is dependent on your bank issuer and may require you to enter a password or get a security code via email or phone.

If there are no payment details saved to your account, you'll be asked to enter them when you click Place Order.

You can also pay for an order using Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Payment Queries

ERROR CODES:

Please see below the payment error codes that may appear if your order is unsuccessful:

2000 – Do not honour - The customer's bank is unwilling to accept the transaction. The customer will need to contact their bank for more details regarding this generic decline.

2007 – No Account – The submitted card number is not on file with the card-issuing bank. The customer will need to contact their bank.

2015 – Transaction not allowed - The customer's bank is declining the transaction for unspecified reasons, possibly due to an issue with the card itself. They will need to contact their bank or use a different payment method.

3000 – Processor Network Unavailable – This response means there is an error with my payment gateway, but don’t worry, I’ll let you know of any issues and let you know once it’s fixed.

If you receive an error code not displayed above, please click here to see a full list of potential errors.

Additional Charges:

If you’re shopping from outside the UK, there’s a small chance you could be charged an International Banking fee by your bank (not Deano Hewitts). Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do to remove International Banking Charges. These charges (usually between 2-3%) are very occasionally added to orders where a person’s bank is registered in a country where Deano Hewitts isn’t registered. Most banks will allow this kind of transaction without charge, but unfortunately not all! So it's always best to double-check with your bank if you're unsure.

Customs & Import Fees

What is Customs Duty?

Let's start at the beginning. Goods - such as the Deano Hewitts products you buy - can't simply be shipped freely from country to country. When goods are imported into a different country or customs territory, there is a charge called Customs Duty that must apply. This is charged by the local customs authority where the goods are being imported into.

If Customs Duty is payable to your territory, you'll be responsible for paying it to the authorities, so Deano Hewitts isn't involved in this process. Whether Customs Duty is payable, and by how much, depends on a whole host of different things. For example, many countries have a 'low-value threshold' below which they do not charge any Customs Duty.

If you do have to pay Customs Duty though, the amount payable is usually calculated based on the value of the goods and the type of goods being imported.

COUNTRIES YOU WON’T NEED TO PAY CUSTOMS DUTY FOR:

USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Norway, Switzerland & EU.

And if I don't pay the Customs Fee?

If for whatever reason, you refuse the customs fee and the parcel is returned back to Deano Hewitts, a shipping and handling fee may be deducted from your refund. If you're still unsure about whether you'll be subject to customs fees, I recommend contacting your local customs office for more info before placing your order!

What is Sales Tax?

Good question. Sales Tax - also known as VAT or GST depending on where you live - is a tax charged on the supply of goods or services.
